Bob Fischer is a writer and broadcaster based in the North-East of England. He writes regularly about folklore, music, pop culture ephemera and other oddities for the Fortean Times and Electronic Sound magazines, and his book 'Wiffle Lever To Full!' - a travelogue of UK science-fiction conventions - was reissued by Hodder in 2018.
He is one half of the 'Summer Winos' touring show, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Last of the Summer Wine, one third of the 'Scarred For Life' touring shows, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of terrifying 1970s television, and the frontman of Old Muggins, Teesside's least ambitious rockabilly synthcore band.
